He retired in 2012 after 32 years in the cable industry with Time Warner/Comcast in Memphis.  For the last 15 years, he trained Comcast field personnel in all aspects of technical services. He is known as a “Mr. Fix It”, he repairs antique clocks and enjoys his time maintaining our home/acreage in Hernando MS. His strong administrative and training background allows him to support SCORE. He enjoys the connection with the other members, especially with his wife, as a SCORE mentor/volunteer.

Catrina Smith

Earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Memphis and a Master of Arts in Education from Union University. She has been an educator for more than 10 years and currently teaches at Southwest Tennessee Community College, and provides leadership training to the business community. She has worked with faith-based organizations to distribute food to the needy and served on the health care committee of the NAACP to keep the community informed. She has also joined hands with local law enforcement and military personnel to increase productivity, teamwork, and communication.

Was Director of Probation for Memphis City court system and then Tennessee Assistant Commissioner of Corrections. Dr. Janet T. Cherry

Effective communication (writing, speaking, listening, behavior) is her passion with a career built around it: university faculty, public speaking, corporate training, business owner, and published author. Her philosophy embraced all business components having roots in effective communication. Mentoring incorporated this philosophy. Janet is focusing her volunteer work now on helping disadvantaged youth in the Memphis area.

After 22 years of active military duty -- he served in the U.S. Marines and U.S. Air Force, and had a tour of duty in Vietnam -- he worked many years as a human resources specialist before changing courses and getting into the restaurant industry.
