James Cotter of the Tennessee Department of Safety & Homeland Security, will provide attendees with relevant, timely, and actionable resources that can be utilized to help protect their businesses online as soon as the workshop is complete.
This presentation will provide you:
1) Relevant, timely, and actionable resources that can be used immediately, at little or no cost, and do not require a background in IT to understand or deploy
2) Address organizational/user issues that are many times the cause of cyber incidents
3) Address ways to create a culture of security and readiness;
4) Elevate cybersecurity awareness not only in the work environment, but across all aspects of our “online” lives.

About the presenter:
James has over 20 years of law enforcement experience and has been with the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security for the last 12. He became the Special Agent Program Manager for Cyber Operations in 2017 and manages the department’s cybersecurity program and statewide cyber training programs.
James is a graduate of the Naval Post Graduate School Fusion Center Leaders Program, and holds a BS in Criminal Justice. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps with deployments to theaters of operation in the Middle East, Africa, South and Central America.
