How I can help you
I've worked for large corporate companies where I learned to function in a rapidly changing technological world. With the discipline and critical thinking skills developed I can help you analyze issues in your own business and help you find solutions. I’ve owned my own small business and I understand issues like limited resources and gaps in experience and expertise. Brainstorm with a non-judgmental SCORE volunteer!
I began my 24 year career as a scientific computer programmer, moving into database design and support, systems analysis and consulting at a management level, including four years managing database systems for a large regional bank. The discipline, analytical, learning and problem solving skills carried through to small business ownership.
In my next 13 year career I co-owned a Wine Spectator award winning independent fine-dining restaurant. Experienced in all aspects of this small business: staffing, maintenance, finance, operations, marketing & hospitality. Our facility is still available as an event center for private functions.
Advisor to the Lake Career & Tech Center, Culinary Arts Program 2004-present.
