How I can help you

Building a business takes commitment and determination – not to mention patience.  I’ve successfully developed a business plan, secured institutional financing, recruited necessary personnel, and promoted the start-up of my legal practice so I know what needs to be done.  For ongoing success you have to build a loyal client base.  In my case that was through personal attention, quality service and consistent follow through but every business model is different.  The key is to identify your core market and determine the best way to drive business to that market which is much easier said than done.  Through SCORE we can help you to answer these questions.

In addition to the above, a small business owner must engage in more mundane things such as hiring and training personnel.  Before owning my own business, I gained experience effectively hiring, training and developing professionals and staff at law firms and a Fortune 100 company.  Unfortunately, many small business owners haven’t had that experience making the tasks seem daunting but they don’t have to be.  SCORE offers assistance with even these mundane but critical issues as well.

I have experience navigating governmental procedures from both my legal work as well as my employment with McDonnell-Douglas.  I’ve assisted commercial and residential construction contractors/subcontractors; retail establishments and computer consulting firms in a wide range of issues – all of which are common to the small business owner.  I’d like to be able to help you move your business goals forward through SCORE.
